Extract of my speech at the Council Meeting.

"PCC Dato Dr. Nagaratnam has been appointed the Chairman, Organising Committee of the 43^rd MD308 Lions Convention. Delegates will come from 4 districts in Brunei, Malaysia and Singapore. Each district will also have their sub convention at the same time.

Our MD Conventions are held consecutively by rotation by each sub district and after 8 years, district 308-B1 is hosting it in Malacca.

There will be many events happening during this 3-day Convention. Besides workshops, hospitality booth, pin exchange, award presentation, more importantly, it is the election of district governors and vice district governors; as they will be the key individuals to continue the leadership of the respective district as the No. 1 Lion. 

From past experience we will have well over 1,000 delegates attending the Convention. Many delegates will come with their family members. They will take this opportunity to visit places of interest, enjoy the good foods and go shopping. I can imagine Malacca will be invaded by the Lions.

We shall be launching the Convention Logo with the theme ‘Love’ ‘Share’ & ‘Care’. Not only it will kick start this significant event in Malacca, it also signifies the beginning of our new approach towards serving the community.  PCC Dato Naga has invited Tuan Yang Terutama and he has consented to grace the convention."
